Hi I'm all new to this rolla scene, coming from skyline and before that commodore yeah i know its not looking good so far.

I'm looking around and hoping to buy a ke70, ae71 or any equal looking rear wheel drive manuals. I was wondering what should and shouldn't i look for? I.E motor size, type and problems there known to have.

I'm hoping to have something with a little kick obviously within reason.

Please help oh masterz

Ke70.. problems? WTF? ;)

They do occasionally get a carby problem, which is probably an easy fix, but it has flat spots, or seems to be spluttering.

It's not a MAJOR problem, as it can be fixed fairly cheaply. So make sure you give it a test drive. You might be able to get

it a heap cheaper and say it's not running right.

Other than that, I haven't had any problems to note. Good luck in your search!

The KE70 comes with a 4k which is a 1.3 lt engine. The AE71 is the same body shape but it comes with a 4A. I'm not entirely sure but i think it is a 1.6 lt.

Best one would be to go for the AE71 if you can find it. It would be easier to convert the engine to a 4AGE as the cross member is already there.
