Ke38/ke55 Front Suspension Problem

Ive just been trying to install some stock fron struts in the front of my KE38 which i got fron a KE55 coupe

 

Now what is currently in there is R31 brakes with coilovers and some unkown steering arms and i think the tie rods are different too?

 

Would any one be able to tell me what is actually been changed so i know what to get?

 

Once again an easy job has turned into a nightmare because of buying a previously modified car.

Well ill have a crack at it.First the control arm is not standard judging by the redrilled link pin.

 

May be corona or sigma {guess no 1}

 

The steering arm [ from ball joint to tie rod end}is not ke or xt130,or ra40. :P

 

Compared to what ive got here.

 

My guess no 2 is that it could be sigma. [GUESS] :(

 

Sorry not that helpful but I'm sure some one will be a long to put us straight.

Could be R31 steering arms. I believe they have a 10mm offset from centre.....

can you source the lca's and steering arms from that same ke55 you got the struts from?

 

at least then you'll know it all works.

 

may i ask why you're not using the r31 struts?

p'raps this will help:

KE parts

 

In amongst that lot, you'll find I'm selling off a complete KE30 front end without the struts for the mega value price of $10 (or a six pack).

 

stock control arms

stock sway bar

stock tie-rod ends

stock lower control arms

stock radius rods

stock steering arms

blah blah blah

 

basically, everything bar the struts.

 

use what you need and chuck the rest in the shed for a rainy day, or in the bin :P
