how do you remove a 4age sump?

dented and f@$ked from transporting

 

ive undone all the little 10mm bolts that hold it on its droped down about an inch or so and it feels like its grabbing onto something ? could be the baffle

 

any help please

as i'm in the middle of the job

Squeeze a spanner in and undo the oil pickup, Think it was a 10mm, might be a 12mm.

You might also get away with taking the sump away from the baffle plate, See how you go.

 

EDIT: I removed mine as it as it enables you to take the whole lot away so you can seal it back up:

i removed those 2 little bolts and it releaced it a little more but still wont come clean off ?

Sorry mate i should of said that it is 4 bolts.

ok got the little sucker off

Have you got another sump to go on?

 

Take the windage tray/baffle plate off and clean up the surface of the block, have the oil pickup bolted on but have the windage tray/baffle plate sitting loose and place sealer on the block, and then onto the windage tray/baffle plate and quickly throw the sump on.

yeha i got an other sump to go on i just have to get it off

going to be even more hard
