i just bought a ke70 in really good condition

 

Just noticed when my lights are on and i indicate left the lights switch off and then turn back on when the indicator flicks off.

 

But the right indicator is fine the lights stay on.

 

Also found out when u jiggle the indicator stick when indicating left the lights come back on.

 

Does anyone know what could be the problem if you understand what i am saying. Cheers.

The contact in the indicator stalk will be dirty, Just try another stalk.

Sounds like the contacts in the combo switch are playing up..

..and its a common problem in various guises, ours turns the dash lights out but not the headlights, so expect a stalk from the wreckers to give trouble unless you're lucky!

If you are mechanically and electrically handy, you can pull the combo switch apart and tweak the contacts to fix it.

I had that problem with my ke20. All i did was take off the steering wheel to get to the indicator mechanism, take off and clean everything inside with metho and cotton buds. Re-assemble and all better.

 

The problem i had was 30 + years of grime in there which was not letting the mechanism contact.
