July 6, 200917 yr comment_357161 ive never had any luck with aftermarket sump gaskets EVER.... always just gone back to the gen toyota one and reused it i thought the NZ catalogs were all wrong and i just used the old gasket, it happened to me twice with a aftermarket gasket on different cars (a 4k and 5k) and i said never again! July 19, 200917 yr comment_359969 yeah theres an odd lip on the keto sump gaskets, it offered some problems for me. the old girl was spewing out $10 a litre oil... not cool. couldn't find a sump gasket at any of the shops here so ended up getting one of the fellas in autobahn to just find something he had lying around, ended up working a treat. it was a rubber fabric gasket designed for a merc sump, haha! July 20, 200917 yr comment_360147 I'm guessing at that price you were using a synthetic and it's no wonder it was pissing out. For a K engine, I would only use a mineral oil. Report
