Twitch Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Hi guys, I have recently bought another Ke55. I have stripped everything out of the boot and I STILL get a noise when I am driving. It starts when there are any bumps or inconsistancy in the road and can be heard most when driving at crawl to low speed. It has a dull base sound like a tennis ball bumping around in the spare tyre hold. It is present from the time I drive off and is consistant with something loose that only wobbles or makes noise when there are bumps of any sort. Any suggestions would be most appreciated as I am going crackers trying to figure this one out! Quote

frosty Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Check your exhaust system - it could be vibrating on something Quote
Twitch Posted March 13, 2009 Author Report Posted March 13, 2009 Check your exhaust system - it could be vibrating on something The exhaust has recently been fixed and it still remains persistant. It's more of a bobble sound rather than a vibration, like something loose or bumping from movement or bumps. Quote
drc_ke20 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 (edited) rear shocks could be worn out, maybe it rattles when you hit a bump? Edited March 13, 2009 by drc_ke20 Quote
RedKE30 Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 i had a similar noise in my ke30, turned out to be the shockers/shocker bushes. i replaced the shockers and bushes, no sound at all now. also could be leaf eye bushes as mine were worn through when i pulled my leafs out. Quote
coln72 Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 I had a sound that occured when cornering. Turned out that a fuel cap had shit itself and half of it was in the tank. Quote
