ke30dude Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 I just found this on my ke30, am I reading the sticker right or have I stuffed up. Lots of grease and oil stuck on for everyone lol. Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Yes you are reading the label right, it is a 3K-U. In Toyota-speak, U in the right-hand side of an engine code refers to Japanese emissions-spec, as opposed to the C for California that most Australian ones get. Nothing to write home really from what I remember, most likely just different vacuum hoses et al, I'll have a look in my K-series engine manual when I get home and see what it mentions You'll see it also in things like 2TGEU and 18RGEU, most of which have arrived on our shores from Japanese imports. ke30dude Posted April 1, 2009 Author Report Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) Ok, my bad google showed nothing, my olf ke30 had a 3k-c I always thought the 4k-u was a dished piston type so 3k-u might have been the same.. Edited April 1, 2009 by ke30dude Quote
