Scroll down and there is side pic of a w55. Its sort of top/side view. There is also a bit of info on the gearbox too.

a big thank you for that.

from the looks of that, a W-K bellhousing is in a SBV townace van.

that same box comes out in hilux, hiace, townace, corona.

i'll have to do some more checking to confirm it but f@$k it looks good.

be careful, some van gearboxes that bolt up to K motors are side-shifter things. i think they're called a G40 and G50. it sucks when you get a dirty old van bellhousing from the wreckers, spend ages cleaning and polishing it so it looks schmick, then it doesn't fit on your T50. and the bastard ummed and ahhed when i tried to return it too :P

the chassis code does say G510 i think but it's the bellhousing i'm interested in.

the SBV is floor change, but the gearbox mount is on top of the tail housing, spose you could just change the rear housing.

i have to get the motor and box out before i know for sure.

what we do is take the bell housing off and just sell the box bare.

so if it's the right thing bell housings should be easy to come by.

i'll post it when i know for sure. fingers crossed.
