Thanks Heaps to all. :bash:

you have pretty much cleared up all of my concerns with the build. looks like i might be trying to grab a spare diff to get the welder onto.

Sounds like ive got some hunting to do, wreckers here i come.

You mention putting 6kg springs in the rear - unless something has been modded in your car, it will have leaf springs, not coils, so all that talk of modded Falcon springs etc will not apply.

For hillclimbing I think you may well find the Corona stuff is over kill if you are just starting out. I have done a number of track days on the standard Ke35 rotor which had a Ke70 caliper adapted to it and using a Race Brakes pad that was designed for the rear of Commodore cup cars. It stopped well and took quite a hammering. I will soon be selling the old struts/brakes out of my car with a set of new pads as I am sure they would be a good upgrade over the standard stuff.

Thanks for the info silverra23 ,looks like an impressive build i have been reading your thread for some motivation. and yeah i think i will go the ke35 rotor set up you were talking about. also i didn't mean my car had springs in the rear i must have wrote something a bit odd.

If you can, double up on the front bar (I ran a bar from a Selby Mazda kit in addition to the standard one). Made a hell of a difference.

This sounds like some fun to install but also looks like it will be a winner.

Here's my rides thread and where all my cash seems to go and will probably continue to go. :y: CLICK HERE

I'm looking to have the car up and racing or at least testing by the end of the year. aiming to get to the first hill climb meet next year. anyone else go to grafton by any chance?

Cheers,

Jacob

I am assuming its the bloke in Adelaide you are going to? the forum blocks out his 4 letter name that starts with A J right?

Indeed that would be the chap. Looks like he does some quality work...I'm going the top setup with bilstein shocks and camber tops...just need the cash...

I have added a bit more info in my original post about the brake set up I will be using. been doing some research today and my plans have evolved a little.

Bolted up the the castor rods :bash: Don't ask me what model Mazda it was off. All I know is that it didn't fit my cousins 808.
