Falken_KE30 Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 So Seeing as car is off road atm, thought id go and put my Pajero MC in. Well it turns out that it don't fit, not only is the Bolt spacing on booster is smaller (around 6-7cm) its offsetted so that if it did fit the the pajero fluid container would be on a lean at about 30 degrees. How did people get around this? guessing a different booster, but what will fit? i so though the KE55 was a 8cm spacing. Is the KE30 with the remote reservoir the same? Cheers Quote
rob83ke70 Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 what car is it going on? I didn't like the vacuum assist (or lack thereof) on ke3x boosted cars..... Robert. Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted July 19, 2009 Author Report Posted July 19, 2009 going on a KE55, my MC is clapped out, so either way my brakes will be better :) Quote
silverra23 Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 When you do put the MC check that both brake line inlets have a cone shape seat inside them - I bought JB1712 - and the front line doesn't have a cone shaped seat. This means the brake line screwed all the way in, but didn't seal against anything so its weeping fluid. Not sure how to solve this yet, will do some investigating Monday. I think I can probably buy some kind of fitting to solve this... Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted July 19, 2009 Author Report Posted July 19, 2009 Hmmm so it doesnt...... I got the 1712 aswell, i didnt realise it has a different setup for front. let me know how you got around this. Think i may take the old line and the mc in to a brake shop and say here ya go, fix it Kgo :) Quote
silverra23 Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Brake shop should be able to fit a banjo fitting to the front outlet and then it will be all good. Thats what someone else has report. I am going to take my brake line in and have a go tomorrow. Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted July 19, 2009 Author Report Posted July 19, 2009 (edited) Cheers, let me know how it turns out, BTW is the stock Thread ont he lines same as the Pajero one? i hasnt tried it yet. would think the pitch is wrong Edited July 19, 2009 by Falken_KE30 Quote
silverra23 Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Pitch is right on my car. Front one screwed all the way in as far as it goes. Rear didn't but that would be because it seated against the cone. Quote
greenmac80 Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 you can get a banjo fitting from a ford telstar. this allows you to use all your standard lines. search toymods there is a thread there explaining the whole conversion Quote
