Felix Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Should work fine with maybe a little finetuning of the jets. Much better choice than a 32/36 DGV. You fitting it to a 4k? Is it stock? If so you'll find the more work the motor has, the greater gains you will get from a carb swap over standard. Quote
KE55PIG Posted July 23, 2009 Author Report Posted July 23, 2009 yea fiting to a 4k whith i think a 3k head or a 4k head not sure may even be putting a 5k in. ill post pics up of it so i can get some help on how to set he think up it looks in good condition. if its only 23 24 its only tiny improvment over standard or ??? is it cause its a beter carby it will work beter ?? anymore info on it would be so very much apreciated. Old fella Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 I Purchased a weber 32 datra 23-24 21100 e9 carby can i use this on my rolla and what is it off of ??? looks in good nik just need help plz ..fixed the model number up plz help G`day mate, I`m not familiar with the model number that you mentioned and have searched the Weber North America website for schematics of same, but with no joy. Because of the venturi size, I can only assume that it would originally have been used on a motor of similar size to yours. My suggestion is that you simply by an adaptor and bolt it on and see what happens. Weber is not a carby that can be tuned properly in a "backyard" , so I suggest that you do all the basic mounting and stuff yourself and then take it to an expert for final jetting and tuning. Most reputable engine tuners will be able to help there, but ultimately a dyno tune is the way to go. Th weber in question is a better fuel delivey system because both butterfly`s open at the same time and unlike the standard aisan carb, don`t rely on progressive vaccuum to become fully functional. Just changing the carby will not make a whole lot of difference to a stock motor, but is certainly a good start if you intend to modify in the future. Keep us posted with your progress and good luck with the conversion. Old Fella. Quote
KE55PIG Posted August 12, 2009 Author Report Posted August 12, 2009 just bumping to c if anyone knows what this is off ill put a pic up tomorow Quote
tas_ae71 Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 what does it really matter what its off of? putting a 32/36 on my 4ac was the biggest performance increase of any of the "bolt on" mods i have done. Quote
KE55PIG Posted August 12, 2009 Author Report Posted August 12, 2009 because it only a 24-25 were everyone else is using 28 32. also need to know will a normall webber adapter fit ?? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 That pretty much the type of weber used to use in my 4ktc setup, they like boost!!! I also currently have one on "dirt" too. Do you know exactly what this one came off? Normal weber adapter can be used, but you need to slot out 2x of the holes on the weber itself. Quote
Felix Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 because it only a 24-25 were everyone else is using 28 32. You are talking about 2 totally different things. The 24-25 is the venturi size. You are comparing it to the throttle bore size of 28-32. The carb is sized perfectly for a worked 4k or 5k. Do a search on the model number on google to find the original fitment. No idea on what adaptor you'd need to fit it onto your original manifold. Quote

You can't get an adapter for these, you need to slot the carb as I mentioned to use a 32/32 adapter. The first one of these that I used (in the turbo kit) I actually slotted the holes on the carb inward and put it straight on the stock K manifold!! :rolls: After having another look at it I think this one is actually off and Alfasud. They had the fuel solinoid and auto choke - which has been removed on this one. :P Quote
KE55PIG Posted August 13, 2009 Author Report Posted August 13, 2009 ahk thanks guys finally some help ive searched the net far and wide for info on what it was off and couldn't find it. the holes have been slightly moved inwards so maybe it will fit straight on to me kmanifold. do i need the fuel solenoid or choke ? and also what goes were with the bras fitings ? the 3 of them ? Taz_Rx Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 You'll need to hook "on" 12v to the fuel solenoid, but don't worry about the choke. As for the fittimgs, if memory serves me: The one thats perpandicular to the carby is the fuel in, next to that is a return line, and the last one I don't think I blocked up at all - think it might have bean like a breather to the air filter or something. KE55PIG Posted August 13, 2009 Author Report Posted August 13, 2009 thanks matey will look at hooking it up next week c how i go Quote
