August 1, 200917 yr comment_362842 Hey all My dash is telling me strange things once i have put this 4k with a cam and webber in. I took the fan off the and replaced with a brand new thermo fan, new rad from an RA60, new thermo stat which made it go higher? lol anyways what else could it be? the water pump was done along with the motor that got overhauled around 8 months ago. anyone had this happen before? cheers Report
August 1, 200917 yr comment_362843 Have you got an aftermarket temp gauge or is it just the factory one?? Report
August 1, 200917 yr comment_362852 What sort of switch are you using to turn the thermo fan on with? and is the thermostat rated at the same temp as the old one? Report
August 1, 200917 yr comment_362863 fill it with water...... seriously, have you bled the air out of the system. Report
August 1, 200917 yr Author comment_362871 yes i have blead the system  thermo fan is switched via the 'ON' positon with the key factory temp gauge Report
August 1, 200917 yr comment_362910 potentially stupid question, but have you wired it up the right way, so if its behind the radiator it pulls the air through, or if in front of the radiator it pushes the air through? you'd be suprised how often people arse it up! Report
August 2, 200917 yr Author comment_362977 yeah i have done it right, I'm not a full on retard, I'm a mechanic too so i know the basics haha. but I'm in a pickle here not sure whats goin on lol, maybe BHG? Report
August 2, 200917 yr comment_363024 Maybe the new temp sensor has a different resistance rating and is sending a different reading to your dash guage than the old one. If you are a mechanic, shouldn't you be able to compression test it and run a cooling system pressure test to determine whether or not it has actually got a BHG? Report
August 2, 200917 yr comment_363047 Get a cooking thermometer and stick it in the radiator to actually see the water temp is. Is the thermostat actually opening??? Report
August 2, 200917 yr Author comment_363065 yes its brand new, i swaped the temp reader from the old motor to the new motor, yes i have them tools will do it tommorw at work to see if its bhg Report
