KE70's are cool
Hey all My dash is telling me strange things once i have put this 4k with a cam and webber in. I took the fan off the and replaced with a brand new thermo fan, new rad from an RA60, new thermo stat which made it go higher? lol anyways what else could it be? the water pump was done along with the motor that got overhauled around 8 months ago. anyone had this happen before? cheers
BReNt
Have you got an aftermarket temp gauge or is it just the factory one??
KEI069
What sort of switch are you using to turn the thermo fan on with? and is the thermostat rated at the same temp as the old one?
coln72
fill it with water...... seriously, have you bled the air out of the system.

MRMOPARMAN
potentially stupid question, but have you wired it up the right way, so if its behind the radiator it pulls the air through, or if in front of the radiator it pushes the air through? you'd be suprised how often people arse it up! Felix
Maybe the new temp sensor has a different resistance rating and is sending a different reading to your dash guage than the old one. If you are a mechanic, shouldn't you be able to compression test it and run a cooling system pressure test to determine whether or not it has actually got a BHG? coln72
Get a cooking thermometer and stick it in the radiator to actually see the water temp is. Is the thermostat actually opening???
