decoop Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 When i take off in first or reverse in low revs the whole driveline shudders, but if i rev the shit out of it to take off it doesn't do it. I just replaced both tailshaft uni's but now i'm thinking it might be the clutch. Has anyone experienced this before? Quote
Evan G Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 doesnt move? seams like engine power isnt getting transfered to the gearbox more info ill say but it does seam like a clutch problem Quote
Jimpoole Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 Sounds like symptoms of a gummy/oily clutch plate. Mum's car does this. Feels like she is skipping the front wheels. Quote
Evan G Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 leaking rear main or gearbox input seal? Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 I've noticed this problem before..... I found that replacing the engine mounts and gearbox mounts with brand new nolathane ones helped it heaps...... To be fair, mine were utterly shagged.... Of course this may be completely unrelated to your problem, and it could well be the clutch or even the diff...... But just crawl under the car and have a look to see if your mounts (particularly the gearbox mount) have perished, cracked, become soft or as per my case split in half...... :lolcry: Good luck with it...... decoop Posted August 9, 2009 Author Report Posted August 9, 2009 Yeah the car moves, feells like the diff is bouncing (axle tramp). The gearbox mount seemed fine when i was under there pulling the tailshaft out, but i'll have a good look at it, along with the engine mounts. Might just change the clutch too and see if the problem remains. Thanks for the help guys. Quote
