Removing Ke30 Ignition Barrel (sheer Bolts)

should i try bashing the top of the sheer bolt with a hammer and punch to leave a impression in it then get it out with a screw driver?

 

or just drill the whole thing out?

Yeah use a hammer and punch...... the long way

 

Or, cut a small slot with a hack saw or dremel and undo them with a flat-head. :)

get a set of easy outs or stud removers drill hole in bolt head put in easy out turn with shifter. less damage to other parts

I would use a VERY sharp nail punch and 'gently' tap the shear off bolts.

Once they are slightly loose you should be able to remove them by hand.

Once you hace them off cut a slot in the top so you can screw them back on.

Don't worry about a thief being able to unscrew them and steal your car,

there a many easier ways of doing that. :)
