I was taking an nice cruise out through the back roads of mudgeeraba when i noticed a pinging noise under throttle, looked at the temp guage, "Oh Shit" I believe were the words. Pulled over but it was too late. It had somehow blown the top hose clean off and dumped the entire contents of the radiator onto the road. Stuck the hose back on, called some mates to bring extra water, filled it up and drove it home. Oh well, will probably just replace it with another 4ac for the tme being unless I can find a 16v 4age with loom, ECU and manifolds for cheap? :ninja: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The problem is the lack of complete 4age's in RWD configuration. I know of about 3 long motors for sale but I'm in need of the complete package. arrg. It means the gasket between the head and the block (head gasket) wears away and lets nasty water into your engine :ninja: At least the spirit of your 4A-C got it home before it died.. any other brand of car and you would have been towing it home!
