lanceishere Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 (edited) bought a tacho dash for my ke70 last week, and it came this morning. when i was fitting it i noticed that the odometer reading was about 1000000km's higher than the original 2140232km's (which is going to annoy the living s#!t out of me) first of all, is it legal to change the odometer reading to the original reading? second of all, how would i do it? just take the front section off the dash and roll the wheels backwards? old speedo cable and a drill? i don't want to destoy it, just want it reading right... KENut Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Just swap the odometer/speedo from your old dash to your tacho dash. Take the clear front off and there is like two screws on the back. Quote
Evan G Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 drill takes wayyyy to long, get a dremel! and it works in reverse (no joke) well it worked on a ke30 cluster Quote

SLO-030 Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 I wound back a spare odometer i had for my ke30. wound it back to 00000km and worked perfectly Quote
philbey Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Is your car a minter? Because if it's not overrated, I wouldn't bother. If you're really worried, keep the old dash and show it to potential buyers. If you had an original 30,000km XY GT then I'd bother putting the effort in. Quote
stx-16 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I'm going to do this to mine the new dash has 200000 more lol Quote
