Gnaget Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Hello. I have a KE70 and I have found a Daihatsu Charmant with 4AC and T50 on a junkyard. And my question is does the Charmant have the same driveaxle as the AE86 ? same splines and length ? also has it the same front engine bay parts ? I mean the metall section where the engine mounts are. same width ? Thanks Jakob Quote

Sam_Q Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 anastasios: ke70 = right hand drive charmant there are a few diffs that came out in ae86's and although the length is the same and they will bolt in but normally different. Quote

Sam_Q Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 look on your firewall for the main plate and see what the transaxle code is Quote
parrot Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) Have a look on aeu86.org There is a bit to be found about Charmants on there. Edit: Sorry I should say, have a look on aeu86.org as well as checking the transaxle code as SamQ suggests Edited October 23, 2009 by parrot Quote
