for anyone who likes to watch stargate and stargate alantis, the new sessions will be released about the middle of next month.

but you probably won't see them here until the end of the year.

Do you mean the new season of SG1 that doesn't have O'Neill or the other character that left the show (I can't remember who I heard it was)?

And how crap was that last episode of Season 8??? I just did a search and found out that Season 9 begins with O'Neill and Carter leaving the show. Season 8 was going really well and then there was just this weird episode that didn't really do much, and suddenly everything changes.

but the new season of Alantis will be good, thats if you have seen all of season one??

No, I haven't seen all of it yet. I was going to watch it tonight, but cricket's on, so I'll have to wait until next week. I've also missed a whole lot of episodes, mostly because I'm not interested enough to stay up for it (it's on at 10.30).

 

O'Neill left because Richard Dean Anderson has wanted to leave for a while now so he could spend more time with his family. He was going to leave at the end of Season 7, but was convinced to stay on for one season longer. There's no real point to having Carter back without O'Neill though.

Plus, O'Neill was pretty much the whole reason I enjoyed the show so much. He added some humour to it, and while I'm sure there will still be some humour in the show, it just won't be the same.

you need to watch the last 2 of this season.

I've heard that it get's pretty good. I might just wait for it to come out on DVD (boxset) and check it out then. Of course, I've got to buy all of SG1 first, which I'm going to do as soon as it's cheap enough (about $30-40 per box). Provided it doesn't interfere with me buying the Simpsons boxsets, that is.

you just prompted me to finish downloading season 1 of atlantis.. and i've gotta get s3 of sg1.. when money permits.. though i havent seen past s4 i think.. never ended up watching much tv in the earlier parts of the noughties :y:

Atlantis is the best.. cept i think I'm secretly in love with Sam Carter so I hope she comes back to sg1.. :P

Yeah, Sam has her foxy moments. Of course, the producers seem pretty good at getting some hot looking actresses on the show. I don't mind older women, so the doctor that used to be on SG1 (Janice) and even the main chick off Atlantis don't look too bad. I mean, they're no Natasha Hendstridge or Famke Janssen, but they're still great looking.
