  1. Yah we saw that too.. it was extremely sad and depressing. The experiment wasn't even that interesting (like duh, of course 500 lighters are gonna explode when you heat and ignite them. Even stupid science noob me could have told em that WITHOUT destroying the shovelnose!!).
  2. My first Cressida was named Schrodinger because we never knew if it would start or not. My VH Commodore was Siggy (short for Sigmund) because the number plate started with "IDD" and so was either that or "the id car". Otherwise my cars get names based on their personality - and every car has one :kiwi:
  3. Heh it was fun ;) Notice I managed to get in the one good shot we got of all the cars at Wivenhoe Pond... sorry :jamie:
  4. Aww Happy Birthday darlin' :) :D race fast safe car ;)
  5. Just wanted to say howdy to the fellas Nitephyre and I bumped into (tho not literally) on Saturday evening on the road coming out of Bundaberg as we were driving home to Brissy from Mackay. Nitephyre notices this lurvely Sprinter in the rearview mirror sitting quietly on our tail on the old highway south of Bundy. We had a little fun with them, seeing what they had under the bonnet (like you do) and when they went past us at an overtaking lane we spot a rollaclub sticker on the back window! We all stopped a bit further down the road for a chat - apparently they already knew us (being the only known Century with a 'fart can'). Was some awesome fun powering down the old highway from Bundy to Childers on this unscheduled rollaclub 'cruise' (two cars counts as a cruise, doesn't it?). At Childers they turned off to go to Hervey Bay and we continued on to Brissy. Not sure of ur nicks on the forums, but thanks for helping to make our LONG trip home less dull guys :) Gave us something new to talk about for a couple hours anyway :(
  6. Wouldn't want to be an Australian icon this week, no.. Sad day today, yep. :P
  7. LOL actually no it's grammar. :)
  8. As long as they expected to be the most unpopular guild now playing LOL
  9. Damn I'm glad I don't study anymore.. After 10 years and 4 qualifications, I hate to think how much I ended up spending on text books. Just another reason to hiss and snarl at the uni for ripping me off... As an aside.. it IS all worth it :D So beg, borrow or steal the books, pages, notes and chapters you need..
  10. The "Virgin Mary" toasted sandwich and bucket of water from a kitchen tap in Oxford are hard ones to beat....
  11. Unless we get a better offer for a more funfilled event, we'll probably be there :D
  12. Ponytails look better on guys with long hair. Can'r wear a ponytail to bed for that messy look either, it just breaks your hair and gives you split ends. Ponytails are all I can do with my hair, it's so long. Think I'm cutting it off this summer. Long hair sucks dogs balls in the heat.
  13. When you've all finished bagging my car, you can get stuffed. It was given to me so I didn't have to pay for it and it had less kms on the clock, less rust and is closer to being roadworthy than the rustbucket rollavan sitting like a lump in the garage. Least the crummydore starts. Unfortunately it guzzles like a football spectator and costs a fortune to register. Hence the not having money thing. I'd rather have a house to live in..
  14. I heard from my friend in London. He and his fam are all ok, but he was on the tube at Edgware station when it got evacuated. Way too close a call... He talked to me on msn from his Dad's office in central London (since he couldn't get to his own work) and was telling me how they were told it was a power failure... so he went to catch a bus when his mum rang him (very intelligent and wonderful woman, by the way) and said whatever you do, don't get on a bus. So he got a cab. But that was part of the problem - the citizens knew nothing and weren't being told anything and couldn't, in the early stages, make fully informed decisions about what they could do. I knew more about it than he did watching ABC news over here so I was telling him what was going on. It was very strange... To echo Xany - hope anyone with friends/fam hears they are all safe.
  15. But if he ever invites you over for a barby, you'd have to think twice, wouldn't you?
  16. Haha thanks, but nah. I already work for the state government, it's enough to turn you off politics forever :n:
  17. Let's face it. The majority of laws are in place to protect the stupid people (or the smart people from the stupid people). It doesn't encourage them to get smarter, just to complain louder.
  18. prove that they can do it. they don't care that it simply strengthens the resolve of the government and the people in their anger. it's pathetic and cowardly run and hide tactics. I'm still waiting to hear from my mates over there, though I'm sure (hoping) they're ok. I'm so tired of watching people die like this.
  19. Makes me furious when people shirk their responsibilities like that :n:
  20. 668 - neighbour of the beast :P :n:
  21. Guinea pigs are the perfect "cute" pet. Or even better are baby guinea pigs. Nothing is cuter. But if you only have one just to pick up chicks I think you'll be disappointed. You've gotta really love them to put up with the wheeking and the strutting and the horrible horrible mess they make with everything. So a cat is much better :P
