Are Ae86 Struts Any Better Than Ae71 Struts?

Hey guys I'm just wondering if there is any advantage to using ADM AE86 front struts in an AE71. Is there any improvement over the standard front struts? i just have a spare set on front ae86 struts wondering if i should use them in my ae71 wagon.

I was under the impression they has bigger brakes but I could be wrong there. Have a measure of the disk diameter

Some of the AE71 wagons run AE86 struts out of the box. The main reason people go the AE86 struts is shock absorber selection. There's oodles of shocks available that'll fit into a AE86 strut (53mm OD) over the AE71 /KE70 struts (48mm OD). AE86 brakes are a bit better too hey.
