Ruts Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 LMAOjust remember one thing! IT IS NOT NEWTON METERS!!!! :D Nm = Newton meters :P Newton Meters err Jason we already established it ISN'T Newton meters Quote
Jason Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 (edited) What? He saysing that hes got some thgin like 3000N of force? But he doesn't know nm? Am i not getting something? Probly I'm a bit slow today :P Edited July 4, 2005 by Jason Quote
Danthuyer Posted July 4, 2005 Author Report Posted July 4, 2005 Ruts has got it...its the ICB tunnel near the hospital :P well done yes jason thats right...cause I'm not sure of the conversion of N to Nm as they are 2 different units and actually 2 different forces :D Quote
Ruts Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 (edited) Rather than 125kw you could list it as a. 29882.31 Calories/Sec b. 5531716 Pound-feet/Minute c. 7114.956 BTU/Minute ..................... or c. 167.6278 Horsepower All thanks to Convert 4.10 Edited July 4, 2005 by Ruts Quote

ancullen Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Isn't a Newton-metre an expression of Newtons exerted every metre or something? I think I need to Google it. I can remember asking my physics teacher once, but I never bothered to remember the answer. Quote
ancullen Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 According to an MRT forum I found while searching Google, the figure Danthuyer has been given is a measurement of tractive force. Supposedly tractive force cannot be converted to Newton-metres (I think). That or it can, but I think you need to know the radius of the dyno barrel. I only skimmed through the result. I think I might have A.D.D. Oh look at that, a pencil to play with... Quote

YAY!!!! finally someone has got it...thats correct its a measurement of tractive effort as such, and can not be converted to Newton meters :P although I do like the path that you took with the big macs etc  I might have to look into making a new one.........but does that mean I have to have a facts sheet plastered to the back of my car for thsoe who are watching what they eat ? :P Grimwolge - my bad yes you did  ...... * hands skippy badge to grim instead Quote
