Are you talking about a 3K-B head or a 3K bigport head?

Would just like to know how rare are the 3k big port heads? Because I'm buying a ke20 with a 4k but it has a 3k big port head on it.

Ye true, well I'm getting an whole engine (4k with 3k big port head) and a 4speed k40 in the ke20 I'm buying for $600 (the $600 is the price for the car and engine) one little bit of rust and the interior is overrated! but then yes I am buying it from a friend.

Bigport heads although considered rare, appear pretty frequently on here and ebay and go for $70-100. I sold one about 12 months ago on ebay for $75 if I recall correctly.

I really don't see why everyones chasing these coveted BP heads anyway, as the writeup in the FAQ says, they're 40 years old, they're probably full of issues and really, 150 bucks will get you a port match job on a much later (and sans welsch plug) 4K head in much better condition.

 

IIRC BP heads are about 29-30mm, my 5K got taken out to 31-32 for 150, matched to my Dellorto manifold.

also its for speedway so you carnt port or any of that shit
