Picked this up today, needed a car in reserve for when I find a new job and give up my company car - perhaps this will motivate me to really start looking because my job is utter bollocks. Mega downgrade haha, but I'm broke (new mortgage) and 70's are cheap to fix and familiar. Has a Towbar which will come in handy too.

 

Its borderline for fixing....but I might use it to teach myself panel work and rust repairs if I can be arsed, shell is pretty good for a 70. As you can see though, front damage will need to be fixed, and a huge section of bog from a previous repair is about to fall off the back door! Funny. No rust around fuel door and only one little bit in the boot, couple in the rear corners of the roof.

 

It's an XX, so has remote boot & fuel door release which is a novelty, tacho dash and has the original cassette player in the console. Plush velour seats in pretty good nick too. Oooh and it appears to have extractors :hmm:

 

Needs a good service & tune but motor seems good, 5 speed is nice and it drives pretty well. Thrust bearing is very noisy though will probably be changed.

All the centre consoles are immaculate, no cracks, and cassette player works sweet!
