Shocks

Featured Replies

hey guys just wondering how you get springs out of shocks without spring tensioner thingys ?

if you don't want to go to a hospital use a coil spring compressor

Supper Dangerous Stuff.....I would take Evan G's Advice.

I used to take out the complete strut, with the rattle gun to loosen the shock bolt while the strut was horizontal and pointing at a wall with about a meter gap.

After mastering this technique (well thinking I mastered it) a strut flew, bounced back off the wall and scraped my arm. I then when out and bought a cheap set of spring compressors from Super Cheap Auto $50.

So Buy Spring Compressors!

yeah definitely after reading that

heat the springs up or cut them, replace the shocks, buy new springs, go buy some clamps and refit easy
