  1. I found this pic of my old KE70. She was great fun to drive. Model: I think 1984 Model - Slant front Motor & Driveline: Stock 4A 1.6L with 32/36 weber. Locked diff. Suspension & Brakes: cut springs and stock brakes Wheels: I think they were 15" Sparkos
  2. After 7 Years of build time its finally on the road. Its been great cruzing and finding a lot of teething issues along the way. Front wheel bearing carked it on my first lap out. She is running pretty good except for the brake booster needs a rebuild as the diaphram if wearing and the weber needs some new jets and tuning. I know the 32/36 weber is a bit big for the 4K, but what jetting are all the 4k drivers using? Passenger control arm was also rooted where the lower ball joint fits. Had trouble finding a second hand one but a mate had a mate who had a set of racing arms with camber adjustment did the job. Looks awesome but need some adjustable strut tops.
  3. Awesome 72'. I love the height. It can never be too low. lol. :y:
  4. Sweetest build. Any updates?
  5. Finally got my finger out and getting close to finalising the interior. Got the new dash in. Cheers to Raven for organising that. Ran some new cables down to the boot and installed the new underlay and carpet mould on the weekend. Oh and got the rear windows in, although I'm missing 2 of the chrome dome nuts that hole the windows in and had to use standard bolts. Can't find these parts anywhere :bash: .
  6. Sweet 20..... No doubt with that planned power you're gonna throw in something like a Hilux diff?
  7. Have you considered giving it a go yourself. You can buy the hardware to spray your whole car for about $300 bucks and paint for another about $200. Just need a clean sealed area (carport or garage with plastic drop sheets) and about 50 hours of your own time. I've seen heaps of guy on rolla club do some great jobs backyard style. There is heaps of vids on the net that can show you lots of tips. Good luck with it.
  8. Finally pick up some vinyl and have been working a bit more on the interior this weekend. I pretty happy with the end result.
  9. Shmico ride...its gonna be nuts with the 5K.
  10. Damn HOT 70...... :y: Have you raced on 1/4 mile? Times?
  11. Cheers Davo..... The bog has come in handy. When you heading to Sydney next?
  12. Great effort... she polished up nice. I agree with ya mate....painting a car is mission, especially at home. But the end result is magic.
  13. The paint looks awsome....bangin build dude. Can't wait to see this 20 finished. :y:
  14. TRD Shocks sound pretty cool. Who distributes them is Aus? Update: Started some cabling in the drivers door and installed all the rubbers, glass and Central door locking.
  15. Real tidy ride mate. Nice work.
  16. Sweet 70 mate.. keep the updates coming :y:
  17. Cheers guys, I look into some later model KE rear shocks this weekend.
  18. Finally pissed of the aisan carb that was running like crap and installed a 32/36 weber. Its running heaps smoother now, although I was worried the weber would be too large for the 4K. Made an adapter linkage for the weber by hacking the original throttle link off the aisan hence keeping the original accelerator cable. I step closer to the 4K-T....
  19. Been a while since an update. I've been cleaning up the rear, suspension back to standard height and replacing the locker with a standard centre ready for blue slip/rego. I decided to paint the diff housing, leafs and under body of the car and change the rear bushes. Looks really neat now. I couldn't find any replacement rear shocks. What is everybody using for shocks?
  20. Heaps of info on this thread http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=2341
  21. Nice one Tally, but is there a difference between a manual and auto diff? I would say the ratios would be different but the physical shape of the diff center should be the same.
  22. The flange isn't the problem. The actual replacement center isn't fitting in the diff housing on the car correctly. I thought the different flanges may make it easier to define the differences between a jap and Aussie diff center. Cheers
