  1. Hey Guys, I've purchased a KE20 diff center to replace my existing locked diff for Rego. I noticed that the connection from the tail shaft uni-joint is a rectangle on my existing center and the new diff center is has a circle. I'm assuming that one is a Jap center and the other is an aussie center. (I think rectangle flange is aussie and the circle one is jap). After reading this I thought that the the Jap and Aussie diffs were interchangeable in each others housing. I gave it a go but it seems like the assumed jap center wouldn't sit in the housing correctly. Its like its hitting a small lip inside the housing (siting out by about 5mm). Has any one had this issue before? Cheers for all the feedback in advance.
  2. Been a bit lazy through the winter but just a bit more work on the interior. Just finished molding the front door pods and door trims. Gotta pull my finger out and trim everything.
  3. Looking Great Handi.....An original toyota colour with a pearl will give you a pretty nice and original finish. I've painted mine 74' white with a white pearl. The 74' white has a tinge of green which shows in the pearl. Keep the updates coming.
  4. Alright, Just started on the interior this week. Got some Mazda Astina SP seats front and rear. The front rails bolted on with small amount of modifications. The rear needs a fair bit of mods which includes cutting the metal frame on the top parts and remolding the bottom part. Door trims have also been started. I'm eager to get the interior finished over the next month. Pics are bad quality from my phone. Mi camera is f@cked.
  5. This should help ya http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/colou..._toyota_H-Z.htm
  6. Nice one Si....I've been using the rolla club to research about k turbo setups and there is heaps of info. This is probably the best forum for it. Regardless of 'InTrenches' comments, I'm still pro turbo K motors.
  7. That's a great shine for out of the gun no buff. :) Good work, Keep the pics coming.
  8. Interior next. then wack a turbo on the freshly built 4k....RollaClub has geedmeup for a 4k-t

  19. Supper Dangerous Stuff.....I would take Evan G's Advice. I used to take out the complete strut, with the rattle gun to loosen the shock bolt while the strut was horizontal and pointing at a wall with about a meter gap. After mastering this technique (well thinking I mastered it) a strut flew, bounced back off the wall and scraped my arm. I then when out and bought a cheap set of spring compressors from Super Cheap Auto $50. So Buy Spring Compressors!
  20. I've never had a post bring me tears of laughter....Too funny :D
  21. OMG.....Great Wagon overrated!!!!!
  22. Nice Ride Mate....tidy :P
  23. You've got the positive and negative wired the right way :) I would say check the bolt where you earthed it to see if its making a good connection to ground (metal chassis). Have you got a test light? its a cheap tool ($5-$10) to check if there is power at the fuse and positive tip of the cigi lighter. Then you can determine whats missing.
  24. another pic
  25. Here's the latest update on the 20. The primer coat made it really easy to see so many imperfections in the body. So went back on the sand paper and bog to fix up these spots. My best advice for a first timer spray job is 'if your not 200% happy with the body while preping......keep repairing till your 300% sure, then spray'. Today I've finished the final primer coat and it looks great. Can't to top coat it but can't decide which shade of white to go. Stark White? Pearl White? Vanilla White? Standard Toyota White? :( :) :) Its hard to find an offish white thats not to yellowy.....If you know what I mean.
