Car looks as good as ever, you should be proud how it has progressed over the years, so clean! And your photo locations are just top notch!

I must say those rear lights just don't do it for me on any of the AE100 sedans ive seen, they just remind me of POV spec aussie ones... have you ever thought of changing them to another option? just throwing a suggestion in :)

Example of rear lights

Have you found any new optional extras to put into the car? Must be hard to find something that you don't have now aye :P

^ Thanks. I am very proud indeed . It's always a lot of fun finding new locations to take the photos

I actually fitted some of the facelift tail lights like in the pic you posted but I was more of a fan of the pre-facelift ones. The facelift tail lights suit the darker coloured Corollas better in my opinion.

Here's a couple of pics of what it looked like:

I prefer the pre-facelift/Aus/World ones actually, the key thing is making sure you get a pair which have the dual tail-lights in them (most only light up the "outer" square) and that don't have the faded indicators (so the indicator is the same dark yellow as the centre garnish)

Yep, very true. The pre-facelift JDM tail lights have the dual bulbs, but interestingly the facelift JDM tail lights only use a single bulb. This was another reason why I wanted to revert back to the pre-facelift tail lights. I thought that maybe it depended on the model, but I compared every single model, including the three top models (SE Limited, SE-G and GT) but the facelift models all still only used the single bulb. The pre-facelift JDM tail lights don't have the faded indicator though. It matches the garnish perfectly :)

IMo those tail lights look great, but each to their own.

Still the car looks amazing, nice photos :)

Thanks man. The facelift tail lights make the car look more modern, but the centre garnish always bugged me because it looked too dark in my opinion. I also liked the way the pre-facelift tail lights 'flowed' with the garnish, especially since the orange strip went all the way along the back of the car . Was a love/hate kinda thing, but at the end of the day the pre-facelift tail lights won :laff:

Funny thing is, I see a mixture of the two on Aus roads, despite all ours being Australian-made and the only change in the tail-lights at facelift was the colouring of the centre garnish.......maybe all the ones I see with dual bulbs have been in rear-enders and had tail-lights fitted from Japan because Toyota Aus were out of stock (the AE10x modifying scene over here is ridiculously small so I can guarantee you they weren't deliberately changed).

Very possible. It's funny you said that because lately I've been seeing some of the Japanese AE100/AE101 models driving around with a tail light on one side that has a very light orange indicator and a brighter red brake portion. It's one of the replacement ones that you can buy online (non-genuine part). So perhaps these replacement ones I'm seeing were made in Australia or to Australian standards? The difference between the centre garnish and the tail light on the other side stands out like dog's balls, but I guess a lot of people don't care. Better than some people who break their garnish and replace it with a red/clear facelift one when they've got red/orange non-facelift tail lights (or vice versa) though :rolls: :laff:

Agreed, one of the finest examples ive seen of this model corolla. Hopefully the links work.

Please excuse the different image sizes :)

Depending on locality and market, there were quite a few variations in exterior trim.

Sedan Grey centre garnish (series 1)
