7shades Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Because I want it to be registerable, and have HVAC, and a firewall :) Quote
LukeAE71 Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Can't believe all the haters in that thread :) :) :) Quote
7shades Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Its a Skyline forum :) There's a lot of really cool people on that site, (I hung out there a bit when I had an R32) but also a directly proportional quotient of morons. Quote
irokin Posted March 26, 2010 Author Report Posted March 26, 2010 Pfft, aside from the pink that things freaking awesome. Must be so much fun to drive. We should do the same thing to an AE112R minus the pink. Quote
7shades Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Rollaclub sponsored and endorsed track car project? :) Quote
irokin Posted March 29, 2010 Author Report Posted March 29, 2010 Damnit shades, all I could think of at work today was how awesome a 300kw 900kg RWD AE112R sports sedan would be. I even pulled out the sports sedan rule book! Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Damnit shades, all I could think of at work today was how awesome a 300kw 900kg RWD AE112R sports sedan would be. I even pulled out the sports sedan rule book! Except the 112s are crap :D Quote
irokin Posted March 30, 2010 Author Report Posted March 30, 2010 You say that like I'd be leaving the original xyz in place. It'd just be a bare shell with whatever necessary fabbed onto it. If you're talking about the styling KE1x-70/86 have been done to death, AE82-102 are a bit meh and ZZEs are still too pricey. The ae112 is probably the FWD shape that appeals to me most I guess due to the sportivos and the tte WRC corollas. Interesting bit of info I've found. AE112Rs have a 10mm narrower track front and rear than an S15. The AE102R has the same track as an S15. :D Quote
7shades Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 I also like the 112. Probably my favourite pre-ZZE fwd rolla. I think a 112 would be a perfect shell donor. Neglected examples can be found for very little $$, yet they're still modern looking enough to create the "wtf who chopped the hell out of that respectable looking shopping trolley" effect we'd be after :D Quote
