has anyone had any success with panel beaters that repair rust, for a good price, just wondering of any places in particular that people have had success with!!

 

any help is appreciated :P

post up some pics, average repair on one simple section could be a few hundred cut,

fabricated, welded in, ground, filled, sanded and primered up...

 

so a few simple sections could add up...

 

honestly you might be better off buying a car in better condition :P

the best way about is either DIY or getting a mate to do it. from my experiences panel beaters don't like to do it as it may seem a small job but it may expand to a full on repair all rust.

I know Rare Spares do have a section for supplying rust replacement panels i'e small sections on metal designed to replace the most common rust areas in a car however i have noticed that this mostly catered to the aussie muscle cars and the like not so much to the jap cars but it might be worth a try

yeah i was thinking about the not buying factor haha, but its one bad rust spot and the other ones are just bubbles coming through the paint which I'm hoping are just surface rust underneath! and yeah i have a mate thats a panel beater but only being 19 i don't know heaps of people to ask so its a bit of a siuation unless i pay someone!
