Need Help With Ute

hi i know its not a toyota question but no one has been able to help me on other forums and need to know has anyone ever put a magna v6 into a triton

what do i need to do to fit it in my triton?

the triton is a 2002 mk triton 2wd with the astron 2400 motor and 5spd manual

the magna is a late model 1997 V6 with 90,000kms on the clock the v6 comes with the wiring harness computer and everything else basically a complete magna minus body for $450

 

and just wondering can i use my gearbox and what other things will i need to fit the v6 into my triton

or is it not do able because of the age difference of the vehicles

I'd say your 2 main hurdles are going to be sump and bellhousing. I know some came with v6's, but I have a feeling it isn't the same. Don't know how interchangeable the parts are gunna be. Can anyone confirm. Once you get past those two hurdles it sounds like you have everything else. With the price of magna bits it shouldn't be hard to source the little things

Don't quote me with it or anything cause i can't find the link that i had bookmarked (it was for one of the mitsi forums i'm with) it was saying most of the bellhousings uses the same pattern for bolting up to the block.

Might have to try it yourself. I'll be phucked if i can find the write-up about it

you will also need pajero/triton inlet and exhaust manifolds

well decided to buy the motor and bits anyway because the bloke rang me up and said i want it out of the shed and your the only one that seemed interested if you want it you can have it for $200
