hmm speedos are tricky I'm pretty sure mine is out so i just go by the tacho now which isnt very reliable but its all i have. The speedo might be right just the car feels slower or faster than the appropriate speed but follow someone with an accurate speedo and then you will know. Also when the gold wheels go on it might get put out by the larger size rolling diameter.

yea, i was thinking of doing that sort of test. the gold wheels were on it when i bought the car, although i didnt drive it much in that form (basically undriveable). so it might have been re-calibrated for those wheels? I'm not sure. ill find out somehow.

that is an amusing exhaust, it's like a pisstake on people who put modern exhausts on old cars. i quite like it

I now have 17's on my corolla, and the rolling diameter of them (even with low profile tyres) is quite a bit larger than the stockies, and it makes little if no noticable difference on my speedo.

i think ill just have to measure it against another car. but i can't now because ive taken the gauges out :D

i gave it a wash today and degrease the engine bay a bit.

well ive got the calipers that simon gave me on. which are like twice the size of the original ones, and also... my gold wheels fit :harhar: :dance: and i got some new tyres and wheel balance and alignment.
