Hello,

 

i just wanted to know if anyone has a wiring diagram or knows how to wire the JDM DX Rear Tail Light to a 1983 ke70 corolla, when i got them shipped from thailand i opened it up and noticed the plug from the car doesnt fit the taillight plug. Would there be a connection to suit or just chop and solder them if i find a diagram?

It is what we in the auto electrical industry refer to as a QK8 (Quick connector) on the aus. lights, You crimp non-insulated terminals on and then push them in to the connector..

You could always get a volt meter and sort out which is which and use male/female stereo crimp on plugs. Or maybe rip the old wiring out of your old ones and make it fit in the new. I had to do that. Wasn't too hard.

A volt meter hey... multi meter would be what you're thinking of. Volt meter obviously only tells you how many volts are going through a circuit.

Pity you not in brisbane or you could just come round and copy the wiring from my DX

get a test light, operate your lights figure out what each wire does on the car side, follow the wires on the lights to the bulbs, then match your wires up easy as
