7shades Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 hey guys. i bought a ae95r a couple weeks agoi need help trying to get my speedo needle to sit on ZERO again, its currently all the way down on thew stopper underneath. Pull the cluster apart and reset the needle in the right place. It just pulls off. will a drivers front gaurd from a 92seca fit my 95r. Yes i need the PCD sizing for the wheels so i can look for a set of 15s. 4x100+38-45 is there any chance i can get coil overs to fit the front end to give it a bit niocer ride height and better grip on twisties They exist, but may be hard to get. Probably easier (and cheaper) to get a set of kings or lovells springs and a MATCHING set of shorter stroke strut inserts and rear shocks any help will be greatly appreciated daniel Quote
Trev Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 Try reversing to get the needle to slip, Sometimes my speedo goes backwards when I reverse. Quote

delaney Posted May 10, 2010 Author Report Posted May 10, 2010 my power steer pump is noisy. just curious as to what the two vacumn lines on bottom of the pump are for?? could i put a pump off a 92 seca onto it, even if the new one does not have the vacumn lines Quote
towe001 Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Is that for the pump on the motor driven by the fan belt ? Or the thing on the steering rack ? The vacuum lines on the steering rack are there so that, basically, the more vacuum the motor sees (ie the faster your going) the less power assist you'll get on the steering. At least thats where the vacuum lines are on the ae82 - at the steering rack. Quote
delaney Posted May 10, 2010 Author Report Posted May 10, 2010 the one running off the belt... is gettin worse, but i do enjoy the whinge... i think i need a GZE  i unhooked them last night and made no difference but i don't know what they do so i put them back on Quote

Check to see if you have enough fluid in the reservoir. Edited May 10, 2010 by Trev Quote
delaney Posted May 11, 2010 Author Report Posted May 11, 2010 res fluid is fine. i flushed it out hoping that fresh fluid would bring it back to life.... but no still noisy. the lines i speak of are on the bottom of the pump, what are they for.... all my older cars never had power steer, so these vac lines on pump are confusing me Quote
Womble1972 Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Would a picture of my AE95 motor help? Quote
