clubby2084 Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Share Posted July 31, 2010 No change I'm afraid Altessaclub. I bolted up the new fuel pump on Thursday. Also put new fuel filter and new air filter. I've been studying the workshop manual. I'm going to remove the choke next week and check float level while I'm there. If that doesn't work I'm going to replace the TVS valve (a christmas tree valve with several vacuum hoses on it, located on top of the thermostat). At different operating temperatures it redirects vacuum to different parts of the carb. According to the manual both are a source of flat spots. I'd KILL for efi... sam- Posted August 1, 2010 Report Share Posted August 1, 2010 my car would be sh!t when it was cold and when u put your foot down it would just die and splutter? tryed everything was about to buy a new carby and turns out it was just the points in my dizzy,10 bucks and its fixed,don't know if it would be the same for yous,but anyway good luck!
