    E85

its common for LS powered and tuned commodores to run it when they race
  2. blow threw from what i have read is a bit harder where as draw threw the carby can just be rejetted and does not have to cope with positive air pressure running threw it
  3. http://bendix.com.au/catalogue/10158#variant
  4. i replaced pads on my brothers vz r8 and the pads i pulled out were ferodo but the replacements were the same deal, same size backing plate put the pad area was smaller
  5. Yeah trev just gimme a yell when your ready
  6. thanks to trev giving me some crucial parts i found it was the dizzy, loose wire had been touching and most probably causing my miss/stammer around 3000rpm
  7. yeah got brendan at goodyear opposite coles to dial in -2.0 degrees of camber and +4.0 of caster, handles like a go kart
  8. bought some goodies and it stops on a dime and almost near turns on one old front braking setup
  9. kinda slowly putting one and one together, now is it possible when i encounter the surging its the primaries that are running out of fuel and causing it to ping due to a blockage but when i drop the boot into it the secondaries are open and are supplying enough fuel for it not to ping?
  10. fuel filter is less then 2months old and has no visible sediment in it
  11. i'm starting to develop something similar but it goes like a cut cat when cold but when it warms up it gets a surge around 3000rpm when driven light-moderately but sink the boot in and take each gear around ot 4500rpm you wouldn't notice the problem but just driving normally with some slight hills and it surges / miss / chugs.\ i have replaced coil, plugs, leads, rotor, coil condenser and gone to town with carby cleaner and nothing has changed. when i was using the carby cleaner i was looking down the bore of the secondaries and noticed they didn't seem to budge when i gave it a boot full, is this normal?
  12. http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/fuel_calculators.php use that and bear in mind you only want to use 85% of the injector for max hp

    My Ae82

i'm kinda new but off the top of my head the 4AGE started in the AE82 Twin Cam (twinky) and run threw to early 2000 with different variatons in induction either via 16 valve or 20 and big and small port heads along with supercharging

    My Ae82

i can be one to testify to start on a solid base, turboing my v6 dunnydore ute for example it is a weapon but the hp bug bites and it bites hard and i'm at the point of selling my whole v6 drive train to put a LS1 in it to chase more power which means the 5-7k i have sunk into it already is going to be wasted. now with my ae82 i want more power with it but having a bit more fore sight i am going to wait and convert it to a 4age and just leave the 4AC as it is apart from making it run on song because any parts or money spent on getting hp is going to be pretty well fruitless
  15. ok, does it mount the body near the steering rack and run parallel
  16. no point changing injectors unless you are going to dramatically change the amount of air getting into the motor either by forced induction or cam and head combo otherwise you are wasting your money
  17. is it me being blind but it seems my ae82 is lacking a front sway bar, was it an option for top end models?
  18. if your daily driving it you want a smaller turbo so lag is minimum and won't take long to get to max boost, if you were going for all out power then sure go a for a bigger turbo but if you to daily drive it you would find that to make any sort of power you would end up reving the guts out of it continually. i'd use something just a fraction larger then a stock 3sgte
  19. i had one of these intercoolers sitting in the shed a few weeks ago but tossed it
  20. yeah time to go bigger and faster
  21. to start with i thought it was a model
  22. everytime i fill it up, a full tank last 2 weeks in the little thing where as a full tank in my ute lasts only 7 working days
