Tazrolla Posted August 23, 2010 Author Report Posted August 23, 2010 what ya guy think bout this for a body kit for the above car found a place that sells this kit but its for the the ae80/82 hatch so I'm thinking might have probs with the rear part unless some1 knows a place that sells kits for this car and a url so i can see it :jamie: Quote
Trev Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 AE92 bumpers are too round where they go under the headlights. The skirts don't really suit it. May sound stupid but that rear bar is way too big and square for the rear (yes I know 80/2's are a box). I reckon a AE86 vertex kit or the ssv kit would look better. Quote
Tazrolla Posted August 23, 2010 Author Report Posted August 23, 2010 i thought about an ae86 kit just not sure if would fit or if id need to sell my soul to be able to afford one Quote
Tazrolla Posted August 23, 2010 Author Report Posted August 23, 2010 just did a quick search for the ae92... the front/sides are same as shown before and this is the back Quote
Finn.KE30 Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 This was in the paper like all the time lol. its engineless isnt it? :jamie: saw it in advocate here in dev a fair bit lol Quote
Tazrolla Posted August 24, 2010 Author Report Posted August 24, 2010 yeah he said he's been sellin it for awhile, it does have an engine but blow smoke so ill be striping it down and rebuilding it or just drop in another one if its not worth the effort of repairing Quote
Tazrolla Posted September 4, 2010 Author Report Posted September 4, 2010 ok finilly picked this thing up, it has the old classic chocolate coloured water in the radiator so now chasin a new head gasket :lolcry: happy to see that it is a 4age but :lolcry: this may seem like a stupid question and it prob is but is there any way to tell from the outside of the engine if its a big/small port? heres a few more pic;s Quote
Tazrolla Posted September 4, 2010 Author Report Posted September 4, 2010 ok cool but seein how this is the 1st 4age ive had my little fingers on how can ya tell that and id be guessin that bigport is better then small port Quote
Trev Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 (edited) ok cool but seein how this is the 1st 4age ive had my little fingers on how can ya tell that and id be guessin that bigport is better then small port Easiest ways: Intake manifold on the smallport is ribbed where as it just has TVIS on the bigport. Spark plug lead tops are covered on the smallport where as the bigport has them visible. Dizzy on smallport is 4 wire, bigport is 3. Bigport has less power then the smallport, both motors have pro's and con's but I would much prefer to build a bigport over a smallport. Edited September 4, 2010 by Trev Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Just so you know, chocolate-coloured coolant doesn't necessarily mean head gasket, could just be really rusty water galleries/radiator :lolcry: But yes, it's a bigport, and a 3-ribber at that too, so it's the bottom rung of the 4AGE ladder.
