greenmac80 Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 wondering if its possible to get boosters rebuilt but better? uprated or something? or... what about bolt in replacements... don't worry about the MC jst the booster... i reckon i remember reading somewhere on here about a subaru of some sort fitting? any ideas?? greenmac80 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 found the info... nissan pulsar gti-r booster is a direct bolt in... + the MC would be an awesome upgrade. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 There was also a guy in the technical projects section who was using an R33 booster and MC IIRC, again direct bolt in...... :hmm: Oh in a KE70. Quote
Clapped out Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Mazda 121 bubble, early 90's model also a direct bolt up, cheers phatke30! Quote
greenmac80 Posted September 13, 2010 Author Report Posted September 13, 2010 wicked... i found today that kesev boosters fit ke30/55... also i know without a doubt that n14 pulsar boosters bolt in. also subaru liberty boosters are the same. just have a different front spacing to suit different mc.. i'll have to look into the r33 thingo... that'd be a good combo. something i need to ask though.. if you were to put this kinda combo.. the r33 one onto a 4k 5k etc. will there be enough vaccum to make it all operate properly? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 An NA 4/5k would probably pull more vacuum than an RB as they're not low comp motors..... RB has a couple more pistons to suck though. Don't think i'll be a prob either way. Quote
Oh-KE Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 So if you get an upgraded booster and mc do you need to upgrade the calipers and disks or will it still make a good improvement using stock brakes? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 So if you get an upgraded booster and mc do you need to upgrade the calipers and disks or will it still make a good improvement using stock brakes? Calipers do the work so brakes can only be as good as the calipers. A bigger MC will push more fluid, so running a bigger MC with stock calipers is only going to give you a tighter pedal and increase your chances of lockups. Quote
Evan G Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 sorry about the thread bumping from the dead. mr greenmac80 - do have ke30 master or a ke55 square type? Quote
