I found rust in my boot just below the number plate, but that's pretty much the only spot on the car :D I'm sure if I went over the car thoroughly I'd probably find more :P

ke70 (but a panelvan).

Ive got rust in some weird spots. never seen another car like it!

*rust on front edge of bonnet (under chrome strip) and rust above the bonnet hinges (on outer skin) i have a hole on each side the size of 20cent coins.

*In drivers and passenger front door jams .just above the hinge where the rubber seal must be rubbing on the jam.

*around the tailgate lock (on the body)

*battery tray area.

thats about it! i consider myself pretty luck :P

  • 9 months later...

My ae71 panel van had rust in the following locations...

Front windscreen surrounds,

Bonet,

Battery support,

Left and right doors,

drivers side floor,

Tailgate,

Tailgate surround,

And the best bit of rust, the Entire circumference of the roof, the roof was only attached by a small section at the front.

The seam welds on the fuel filler has to be the most common spot. Havent found a ke70 without rust under the filler cap as of today that hasnt already been fixed.

If it doesnt have rust there its just lurking underneath the paint waiting haha

Also the spot welds underneath the boot seal/ rubber usually get rust.

My Ke is clean other then that though I'm lucky :)
