7K turbo setup will rape a k40 or k50 gearbox with ease. The previous owner/seller is crazy to even think it would hold that type of torque and power. As for what gear box to run, you're on the ball. Run a W50 steel case gearbox, however you will need a K-W bellhousing for it to fit up to the 7K Cheers, Jake.

It sounds like my old 4AC, had the same issue, turns out the inlet had cracked somehow. Sounded like a rotary, would go like shit at low rpm, but wasn't noticeable in the higher rpms.

This is a sad day.
