Istartfires Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Hey all, I can't search on my phone for a thread so if anyone can put a link up that would be sweet. I have to put new glass in my rear door in both the little and big windows but have never done it before any help would be sweet thanks Quote
Bamboo Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 The sort of job I've done a hundred times, but putting it into words :blinks: You need to go down to your local DIY wreckers and practice, that way if you f@$k up and break something, you can walk to the next car. This job is pretty much the same on ALL cars (read Toyotas) with the same style doors. Good luck Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Pull the door seal off the top of the door to reveal 2 phillips drive screws, this holds the window channel in. Pull the door trim off, follow the channel down, there is a 10mm head bolt that holds the bottom in. Wind the window down, take out the 2 screws and 1 bolt, remove channel. Will be able to remove the 1/4 window now. At the bottom of the glass there is a metal channel. Held to the window regulator with 2 10mm head bolts. Remove bolts and pull the window out. Install is a direct reversal of the above. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Would be a good thread to make. I need to take mine out again, when I do I might make one. Quote

B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Its one of those jobs that you do, get frustrated with, get pissed off, then finish. Then realise you forgot something, redo it, get pissed off, and its done. Then every time after its piss easy. I did it without a manual or help the first time. About 2 hours for one side. Can now do it in under 20 mins. :y: Quote
