i have really low oil pressure in my 3k..

when at idle its about 5, and at high revs 6000rpm+ its about 20-30.

we have tried 3 types of oils in it. 25-50w, 10-14w, and sunthetic? or somnthing like that.

motors only about 1 month old and around 2 hours running time. its just got pulled down and the bearings are fine.

please help

cheers

Were the thrust bearings and oil pump gears good? You could try shimming the bypass spring on the oil pump.

I'm not to sure. what do you meen by shimming the bypass spring? i no what it is don't get what u meen by shimming haha

sump must be off/dissy removed.

remove oil pump securing bolt (1 10mm bolt)

remove the split pin SLOWLY

spring will pop out with like a washer.

all 3mm of spacers (washers smaller than 14mm wide if i remember correctly)

push the spring in with the tip of long nose pliers

insert the NEW split pin and wrap it around the oil pump

HEY PRESTO

Found this using the search function.

Shimming means: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shim_%28spacer%29
