New to world of Rola and already own 2 lol my question is though does an AE86 strut fit KE20

reason I ask is I was offered a set of Coil overs and wondering if they would fit even with mods :blush:

To bolt them in you will need either TE27 steering knuckles sourced from japan or the USA, or grab some ball joint taper adapters from techno toy tuning, fit these over your ball-joint, chuck on an ae86 steering knuckle, the strut will then bolt up, swap over the strut tops to ke20 items and they will bolt in :)

AE86 steering arms for starters.

The next thing you'll need to work out is ball joints. Their different, very different. As i've found out (ke2x control arms into a ke30).

You'll more then likely find the ae86 bearing plate (part that bolts the top of the strut to the car body) will have to be swapped to the ke20 one.

Next thing to do is have a search and see if someones done it.

What Tally said + TE27 Cusco camber tops (or stock KE20 tops)+ AE86 hubs and brakes and possibly brake lines? then you should be good to go

Luckly the bearing plates can be purchased as a blank with camber ajuster and you can drill out the holes accordingly which leaves the ball joints :bash: :lolcry:

further to that I'm ganna want different brakes in order to pull up a V8 lol

just put whatever struts you want in then.... better yet just weld them solid.

 

Not like the thing is gonna handle with a V8 in it :rolls:

What Tally said. Make sure if you decide to go the AE86 steering arm route with a spacer to fill out the balljoint pin hole, that you source power steering arms rather than non power arms (non pwr steer arms are significantly longer than KE / TE 2x).

 

I think the bling TTT arms are power steer length.
