Evan G Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 give us a bigger pic? check if its a postive or negative wire when the igntion is on. i think i had the same problem as you, i connect it and it wouldnt start so i removed it and tapped it up (don't DO THIS AS YET) Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Yup need a bigger pic even Ctrl + didnt help Quote
GJM85 Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 (edited) Looks like a coil and the wire from the ballast resistor. It shoulld be hooked up to the negative side of the coil. It could be that you have your wires mixed up. Edited May 9, 2011 by GJM85 Quote

twinspinna Posted May 8, 2011 Author Report Posted May 8, 2011 the thing where the wire comes out of is a little tube thing with two wires coming out of it. 1 is a black one that goes into the loom, and this one is yellow that goes????? theres another rectangle thing next to it that has a wire going to the positive side of coil. the other side of rectangle box doesnt have any wire hooked up to it. i don't think its supposed to cos the nut is old and hasnt been tampered with. will try to get a bigger pic up tomorrow.. cheers Quote

GJM85 Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Ballast resistor on the negative side? No. yeah my bad. the negative side of the coil needs to be grounded. the positive should run from the power/ignition and the ballast resistor there also. Quote
