Mounting Chrone Bumpers Ke70

Hey guys, just got myself some chrome bumpers and i was wondering what the best/easyest way to mount them on a ke70 is!

What model car are the bumpers off? You will probably have to make them fit the standard mounts or make the mounts fit them!

I chopped up my standard ones and welded up some new brackets off them. Was quite a easy job.

Thats the best way because all the fab is done for you, almost.

Did u use the metal bar behind the plastic bumper behind the chrome bumpers or only rig the mounts?

Made new brackets for the front from some angle iron to sit on the chassis then welded some brackets off that. for the rear chopped up the rear ones cause it mounts under the chassis and welded brackets of them. Went out on Saturday morning bought a second hand Cigwelder with all the equipment for $80 which I knew was good quality went to Bunnings bought some metal $20 , went home watched some Youtube videos on arc welding then went outside and started was finished by 5.

if you find my members ride (back quite a number of pages...)

 

there is some decent photos of how i did mine, pretty much same as spencer, hacked the standard bumper and attached the chrome one.

 

you need to shorten the mounts as the chrome bumpers arent as thick as the plastic ones.
