now i got a bit of a problem.

now any body who has seen a boot to a ke35 will prob no that on each side of the boot it drops down along the side of the body then comes back up to the floor height (does that make any sence???)

now when ever it rains i get about 2 inchs on water that manages to find its way into the boot down those sides...

I thaught it was the rubber so i replaced it.

rained last nite walked out to see how she was doing.....

2 INCHS AGAIN!!!

Has any body every had this problem???

What can i do.

I wanna carpet it soon but afraid if i do it will get wrecked because of this

Please help

sorry to dig up an OLD topic,

a few weeks ago i realised there was about

2 inches in my boot as well,

so i drained it all out and sealed up

all the holes i thought it would be coming in,

but the torrential rain adelaide is getting or has

been getting, i realised i have had alot more water

in the boot, the two side little wells

and the spare tyre well are really

full, way more than 2 inches..

so did the tail light sillicone fix

do the trick?

Hey, I'd agree with the fact that you should put some sort of silicon around the tail lights.

The black stuff that a window installer would use around a fixed window. If you've ever removed a tail light you would have noticed that it stuck to the car body at first, or it had something "black" around the light.

I sent my car to my panel beater and he did the "man in the boot with torch and hose" thing.

yeah cheers for that guys..

ive got a neon in my boot so

that should be enough to shine through

any holes or what not, but

one i get the water out, i will

get someone in there and have another look.

and so you reckon buy that black

sillicone stuff?

regular sillicone sealant wont work?

cheers, chet

oh yeah, check for water dripping on :S

well i cleaned it out tonight,

couldnt spend too much time on it

so i just got the water out and sealed

up the taillights with normal sillocone :hmm:

we will see if that works..

if not, back to drawing board.

cheers for the help so far.

i had some leaks also, initially it was because my rear guards were rusted out and the water was splashing from the road :hmm: but when that was fixed it was my boot rubber so i replaced that and then it was the taillights, all i did was take the seal from my spare set of taillights and put them on the car also, so now it has two seals on each taillight and it doesnt leak anymore :S
