Ke70 Bulbs.

Hey guys, to save me ripping out my dash and hunting all over the place to find out what the dash bulbs are called, does anyone know.

 

I'm really keen to upgrade them as mine are absolute balls.

 

I've read a few articles on here about getting replacement clear perspex as well and losing the green shades in the rear (I'm obviously going for red :P)?

 

But no one has mentioned what kind of bulbs they are.

 

I had one out a while back but can't for the life of me remember what they look like.

 

Any help appreciated as always. :y:

I'm pretty sure there called wedge globes. my guess is that there 5watts?

T10 wedge bulb.

 

Use something like these if you wanna red that shit up, LED styles

Any idea how many you needed Shades? And did you just bung 'em straight in?

 

You can get 10 packs pretty cheap, and the dash needs 12 I think from my manual.

I just did the actual backlights, I left all the warning lights, blinkers etc.

 

I think there's 6 or so in the cluster itself, and the one behind the climate control is a T5.

 

They just go straight in the little holders like a normal bulb.

Ahh all good, pretty cheap from OS. And cheers for letting me know about the T5 one.

Just gotta sort out why there is no light there ATM.

You've gotta remove the little green caps from the inside of the cluster, but that's easy as.

the lights on my dash are super bright...never had any dramas not being able to see?

Not worried about bright Dave. Just colour. But a few of mine are blown and its all quite dim. So I thought I'd keep the red/black theme going when I replaced them . Plus running LED dash bulbs will take less power from the engine and double my HP.

EDIT: Also does anyone know what type of lights are in the headlights of the KE70's? Don't know nor have a manual at home just yet, but might be able to snag me some good postage deals with my dash lights :)

They are a sealed beam, one whole unit unless they have been upgraded to h4's or something similar.
