Tomas_90 Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 There's a certain gauge cluster for the KE70 that has the Economy gauge above water temp/fuel that goes back and fourth. My car doesn't have that, but if i were to switch to a board that does have it, would it just be a matter of hooking it up to the engine then? Cause if other cars have it they ought to just have the hole where it measures it plugged right? Quote
love ke70 Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 ive never seen that, got photos? but yes, I'm sure its just simple vac line you have to install... Quote
altezzaclub Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Use any stray carb port that has inlet vacuum on it, or T-junct it into the inlet manifold via the brake booster line or PCV line. Should be dead easy. Quote
Tomas_90 Posted July 29, 2011 Author Report Posted July 29, 2011 They look like this: I'm currently looking around to see if i can get a hold of one. Quote
parrot Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 That's pretty cool. Hopefully it will sit permanently in the red zone, except at traffic lights. But yes, all you need to do is connect it to an outlet from your inlet manifold, much like a brake booster, though obviously a smaller take off port. Use reasonably firm, non collapsible plastic tubing between the manifold and gauge. Quote
love ke70 Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 ive never seen that, what ke70s did it come in? overseas DX or something? like parrot said, use proper vaccuum line (its cheap, buy new) don't use something you find around the house cause it will suck in on itself... Quote
Tomas_90 Posted July 29, 2011 Author Report Posted July 29, 2011 I don't know if there are specific cars they are in, the one on the picture is from a Wagon, but there are lots of 2 door 1.3l that have them also, but not everyone. And this is Europe we're talking about too. Quote
love ke70 Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 ohhhh well that explains it lol ive never seen one over here... Quote
