Hoping for a simple answer to this one

 

Where is the horn in a KE70? I want to swap it for the KE30 one I have its funky and less raspy

the horn button is on the steering wheel. it works by earthing out through the steering column

 

the horns themselves are on the front of the car, next to the radiator. each horn has a different tone, or should have

yup, they are located on the grill side of the radiator support panel.

 

and yes, both horns should have a different tone....one high and one low

Dad swapped the Horn in my old datto for a VOLVO horn

Thanks for being so informative Jamie but I knew that from when I put on a new steering wheel :D

 

I'll have another look for the horns themselves soon, its not as obvious on KE70's

 

 

I've heard some pretty funny/awesome horns before... someone once even tried to tell me they had a friend of a friend with a TRAIN horn in their car... I wonder if there's a rule in DB comps against that? lol

not that he really remembers much, after about 20-odd cans of jim beam on the particular day in question :D

I'm looking into getting a wolf whistle horn. plays a digitalised recording of it. i heard one on a mini panelvan at wintersun this year. quite funny at pedestrian crossings :D
