this is the second sender that has shat it self! i turn my ignition on and the gauge says 120psi? UHHH

Yeah, me dads truck doesn't even have that much once it's warmed up.

That's the plan, I'll just keep me eye out for one needing a rebuild then have it waiting until this one dies.

LoL! Definitely mechanical are the way to go, (until a line breaks anyway!)

Yep- they wear to an upside-down 'U' shape where they rub on the valve, and the feeler gauge bridges that gap, so the real gap is larger than you measure. I can't get rid of one, set them a dozen times.

altezza, i know that feeling, i set all mine on my TD42 in my patrol tight, and the fuel economy difference and low down power was about 200km per tank difference. was like OMG! haha

each rocker is about 50 bucks so I'm not replacing them, just gonna set them tight from now on :P

In the past I have found a bit of wire of the right thickness, a kitchen tie or similar, and used that stuck in endways. With the Datsun 1600 rally car we would set them using a protractor on the cam, but these damm sidecams are a nuisance for that!
